1. How long does it take for my song to be in all digital stores?

NextXtar distribute songs to all digital platforms with 7 days max except express delivery, which is delivered within 48 hours.

 

2. Will my song be on iTunes and Spotify?

NextXtar distribute to iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Deezer, Tidal, Apple Music, Boomplay, Audiomack etc., and over 100 plus digital music stores worldwide.

 

3. Will NextXtar pay royalties for me songs been stream on digital stores?

YES! through the digital stores, Payment is been updated every quarter (90 Days) the dates are 24 February, 24 May, 24 August and 24 November, the artist has all right to withdraw their fund without any restriction.

 

4. Why NextXtar did changed my artwork?

When an artist song is approved on NextXtar platforms and we start the distribution, stores might reject the artwork uploaded by artist, in other not to delay the distribution. NextXtar graphic designer will replace the artwork, with a better artwork in order to continue the distribution, the artist can change the artwork whenever they want, our priority is to make sure the song is distributed on time.

 

5. Can I takedown my song anytime I want?

You can take down your song anytime you want, but some digital stores put a lot of restrictions in terms of taking down a song, which attract a fee before the song can be taken down, and though to over 100 digital stores NextXtar distribute sometime it takes long period to take down song.

 

6. How long does it take for a song to be taken down?

NextXtar distribute to over 100 digital stores, and each store has a different procedure to take a song down, it varies, but maximum period is 30 days.

 

7. Can NextXtar promote my song?

NextXtar has a lot promotional tools to help artist promote their songs worldwide, NextXtar social media account has a lot of followers, and the artist can use our social media platforms or use other platforms within the NextXtar App.

 

8. I am having problem uploading my artwork and audio

NextXtar accept artwork with minimal size of 3000 X 3000 pixels and maximum of 5000 X 5000 pixels, the audio specification is MP3 audio, make sure you have these specification before you start to upload on NextXtar.

 

9. What happens after I uploaded my release?

You will receive an email telling you that we have successfully received your release. We review the music, metadata and artwork. We will contact you if we have any questions. NextXtar follows though process to make sure we met the strict guidelines set up by the digital music stores and blogs.

 

10. Can I make changes in an upload?

You can make changes to your upload before it is approved on the NextXtar App, after approval, and it is distributed to digital music platforms, it will take a month before any changes can be implemented.

 

11. Can I release cover tracks?

Yes, you can upload a cover, but you must add the original songwriters as writers on the track. You need a license, if you don’t have a license, your release will not be distributed.

 

12. I use samplings on my beat, is that ok?

Only with the copyright holder’s permission! If you want to use a sample of someone else's music, you need the permission of the song's copyright holder (the writer and/or the publisher), and permission of the owner of the recording, which is usually the record label.

 

13. Can I change my artist name?

If you have not yet uploaded any music, the best thing to do is to create a new account with your new artist name. If you have already upload music under your current artist name, then you need to fill out this form, and change all your artwork (if it has your artist name on it).

 

14. Can you promote my new song?

Yes, we can promote your songs on a lot of platform, including our app.

 

15. What kind of song can be uploaded?

Any types of songs can be uploaded, including Christian songs, Native songs, Highlife, Jazz, hip hop, soul, Blues and traditional music etc.

 

16. How do I get my songs on playlists?

Getting streams is the absolute best way to get your tracks noticed and added to playlists. Share your tracks within your community (social media, family and friends!). That's how the streaming platform algorithms kick in and pick up your track. And that's how we find the best tracks on our platform, but you can still use NextXtar promotional services which includes playlist on iTunes and Spotify.
